Our Mission
The goal of the Ypsilanti Working Group is to grow DSA membership in the city and the surrounding townships. We want to know what's going on in our area and bring ourselves together to work on those projects.
What We Do
- Reach out to current HVDSA members in Ypsilanti City, Ypsilanti Township, and Superior Township to get them involved
- Work with local figures and organizations to work towards policy change at the City and Township Council level
- Represent HVDSA in our local community and often provide the first point of introduction of the general public to the Democratic Socialists of America
What We've Done Recently
- Supported Stop the Data Center!
- Supported our Ypsilanti socialists in office
- Gotten socialists appointed to Ypsilanti boards
- Represented HVDSA at the Ypsi 4th of July Parade
Our issues are member suggested, and our work is member driven. We need your help and we need it now!
Getting Involved
We meet on a bi-weekly basis, often at one of the Ypsilanti District Library branches or a local coffee shop.
